The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.

My name is Vanessa and I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Studies, and a focus on the Middle East.

I come from a Taiwanese-Chinese-American immigrant background and I’m currently based out of Washington D.C. My pronouns are she, her, and hers.

As a student and researcher, I am interested in understanding how diverse identities are being included in the scope of global society and seeing the world through the eyes of the most vulnerable populations.

As a professional, I am looking to gain experiences in policy and advocacy, and am especially passionate about women’s issues in international development.

As a writer, I promise transparency and vulnerability.

As a human, I promise kindness.

Thank you for stopping by.
