The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.

My name is Vanessa and my pronouns are she and her. I come from a Taiwanese-Chinese-American immigrant background and the identities I hold largely shape the work I do.

I am a communications and storytelling enthusiast based out of Washington D.C. in the progressive economics space. Being able to tell people’s stories is a privilege and I am thankful for the people who have entrusted me with theirs.

As an advocate, I believe in connecting the structural with the human, and advocating for the rights of femme folks and people of color through policy, organizing, and education.

As a writer, I promise transparency and vulnerability.

As a human, I promise kindness.

Thank you for stopping by.
